Discussions...a place to, well discuss things. 

You know...talk about and engage others in conversation. 

Discuss, from the Middle English word, discussen, which came from the Latin word, discussus which is the pluperfect of the verb discutere.  Discutere when dissected came from two words, dis, meaning apart, and quatere meaning to shake.  So we have the definition as being to dispel, to investigate by reasoning or argument.  It can mean to present in detail, to talk about, and to declare.  Looking words up in the dictionary is helpful...I recommend you do so.  It takes only a few seconds and your vocabulary will be the richer for it.  Even better, you will be erudite.

Anyway...discussion, as you can see from the definition means that we are civil one to another.  Remember that we are coming from a point of reasoning.  For those who can't play nice in the sand box, well, we can take you away from the box.
